Apprenticeships

We offer apprenticeships in the hotel and catering industry. The three-year training programme with a federal certificate of competence is an excellent basis for your career in the hotel and catering industry.

We offer the following apprenticeships

(Not included in the training programme: Management Assistant CoC, Hotel Communication Specialist CoC)

All three apprenticeships can also be completed as a 2-year apprenticeship - basic vocational training with a federal vocational certificate (FVC).

Would you like to gain a first insight into the exciting world of the hotel and catering industry? We offer taster days for all apprenticeships so that you can get to know your dream job.

Application procedure

So that you can find out more about your dream job, you first complete five taster days with us in the relevant department, for which you apply to Melissa Mammele (Head of Human Resources) by e-mail to bewerbung@marinalachen.ch.

What we would like to read from you in the application

  • Curriculum vitae and personal details (name, address, telephone number, age, school or education)
  • Profession that particularly interests you
  • Dates on which you would like to complete your taster apprenticeship - 5 days, ideally including a weekend
  • A short letter of motivation: Why would you like to do a taster apprenticeship with us?

Once we have received your application, we will check it and contact you to confirm the taster days and discuss the details (e.g. required clothing, what time you start, etc.)

...

Your taster apprenticeship is coming to an end - you've made it and gained valuable experience for your future career! Of course, we will have a feedback discussion with you and gather your impressions. After a few days to think about it, let us know whether you are interested in an apprenticeship in our company and whether you can imagine your future at Marina Lachen.

If our decision is also favourable, we would like to meet your parents (or a legal representative). Deciding for an apprenticeship is an important step: We will conduct the interview together with you. The aim is to discuss various key points and topics and to clarify any questions about the industry and the apprenticeship. A second taster session may also be an option.

Once everything is right for both sides and the decision for the apprenticeship has been made, it's time to get down to business: the apprenticeship contract and its signing.
